fast, Reliable Bridge Approach Repair Without costly Replacement
When concrete settles at the start or end of a bridge, drivers feel it — and so does your budget. Uneven bridge approaches cause bouncing, joint stress, and long-term structural damage. RaiseRite levels these slabs quickly and safely using high-density polyurethane foam. No tear-out. No long lane closures. Just smoother transitions and safer roads.
Why Do Bridge Approaches Sink?
Bridge approach slabs are common failure points due to poor subgrade support, erosion, or long-term settlement at abutments. Water can wash out the base layer, or heavy traffic can compact the soil unevenly. Over time, the slab drops — causing a bump, dip, or separation between the roadway and bridge deck.
We also lift concrete on highways, airports, loading docks, municipal streets, and interior floors. See all commercial services for more.

What Are the Signs You Need Bridge Approach Leveling?
You’ll often notice:
A bump or dip where the road meets the bridge
Tire bounce or steering jolt at transition points
Cracks forming at the start or end of the bridge
Joint separation or water intrusion
Approaches pulling away from the abutment
Our Fix: Quick, Clean Concrete Leveling with Foam
Step 1) Injection holes are strategically drilled around the areas where the concrete is sunken and requires lifting.

Step 2) Once everything is prepped, and the hose and material are in place, the polyurethane foam is injected through the holes. It expands to fill the space underneath the concrete slab, using the slab itself to drive the foam into the crevices, thereby lifting the concrete back to its original position.

Step 3) Once the concrete is stabilized and lifted to the proper position, the injection holes are filled with new cement, allowing you to use your surface immediately.
Polyurethane concrete raising uses a foam material that is injected under the slab. When the components of the material are mixed, a reaction causes the material to expand. This expanded foam fill any voids beneath the slab and raises the concrete. This material will never lose density, is permanent and weighs only about 2 pounds per cubic foot.
