FIX SUNKEN GAS STATION CONCRETE WITHOUT MAJOR DISRUPTION
Uneven concrete at a gas station or convenience store can create problems for customers, employees, and delivery drivers. Sunken sidewalks, settled concrete near fuel islands, and uneven entrances can create trip hazards, drainage issues, and maintenance concerns.
RaiseRite helps gas station owners, convenience store operators, and commercial property managers across Wisconsin lift and level existing concrete without the cost and disruption of full replacement.
When the concrete is still in good condition, polyurethane concrete raising can restore settled slabs and improve surface transitions while helping keep your business operating.
Why Does Concrete Sink Around Gas Stations?
Gas station concrete handles constant traffic from cars, trucks, delivery vehicles, and pedestrians. Over time, poor soil compaction, water erosion, changing moisture levels, and Wisconsin’s freeze-thaw cycles can weaken the ground supporting the concrete.
Once the soil beneath the slab shifts or washes away, the concrete may begin to settle.
Common problem areas include:
- Sidewalks around convenience stores
- Concrete near fuel pump islands
- Customer walkways and entrances
- Parking areas and concrete approaches
- Concrete near air and vacuum stations
- Dumpster and service areas
- Delivery and loading areas
- Concrete near curbs and drainage structures
- Walkways connecting parking and fueling areas
Settlement near fuel equipment or underground storage systems requires special evaluation before repairs begin. RaiseRite can assess suitable concrete areas and determine whether lifting is an appropriate solution.
In addition to gas stations, we also repair warehouse floors, factory floors, loading docks and ramps, strip malls, and municipal concrete structures. See our full list of commercial concrete leveling services.

SIGNS YOUR GAS STATION NEEDS CONCRETE LEVELING
Gas stations have customers and vehicles moving through the property throughout the day. Even small changes in concrete elevation can create problems in busy areas.
Watch for:
- Uneven concrete around fuel islands
- Raised edges between sidewalk slabs
- Trip hazards near store entrances
- Sunken concrete in parking areas
- Water pooling around settled slabs
- Uneven transitions between concrete sections
- Concrete sinking near curbs or drains
- Gaps beneath concrete slabs
- Cracks caused by uneven support
- Settled concrete around service areas
If the existing concrete is structurally sound, lifting and leveling may help correct these problems without removing and replacing the slab.
Our Fix: Quick, Clean Concrete Leveling with Foam
Step 1) Injection holes are strategically drilled around the areas where the concrete is sunken and requires lifting.

Step 2) Once everything is prepped, and the hose and material are in place, the polyurethane foam is injected through the holes. It expands to fill the space underneath the concrete slab, using the slab itself to drive the foam into the crevices, thereby lifting the concrete back to its original position.

Step 3) Once the concrete is stabilized and lifted to the proper position, the injection holes are filled with new cement, allowing you to use your surface immediately.
Polyurethane concrete raising uses a foam material that is injected under the slab. When the components of the material are mixed, a reaction causes the material to expand. This expanded foam fill any voids beneath the slab and raises the concrete. This material will never lose density, is permanent and weighs only about 2 pounds per cubic foot.
Frequently Asked Questions
In some cases, yes. Repairs can often be completed in designated areas while other parts of the property remain accessible. Work near fuel pumps, underground equipment, or busy traffic areas may require temporary closures or additional safety precautions.
Potentially. Concrete near fuel islands can settle due to soil movement, erosion, or poor support. However, these areas require careful evaluation because underground fuel lines, electrical systems, and other equipment may be present. We determine whether lifting is suitable before recommending repairs.
Yes. When one concrete slab settles below an adjoining slab, lifting the lower section may reduce the uneven transition and improve walking conditions. Each area is evaluated to determine whether the concrete can be safely raised.
Yes. Sunken sidewalks, entry slabs, and concrete approaches are common repair areas. Polyurethane concrete raising can often improve uneven surfaces without removing the existing concrete.
In some cases, yes. If a settled slab is causing water to collect or flow in the wrong direction, raising it may help improve the surface slope. Drainage problems involving fuel-handling areas, oil-water separators, or specialized containment systems require additional evaluation.
Yes. Concrete lifting is often much cheaper than tearing out and replacing your concrete. We use advanced polyurethane foam to lift and stabilize sunken concrete at a fraction of the cost of replacement, often saving up to 50%. Our process is fast, clean, and helps extend the life of your existing concrete without the mess and expense of starting over.
Many concrete lifting projects can be completed within a day, depending on the size and complexity of the repair. Work near underground utilities or fueling equipment may require additional preparation and coordination.
Polyurethane cures quickly, and many repaired areas can return to normal use shortly after lifting. Our team will explain any restrictions based on the repair location, traffic loads, and safety requirements.
RaiseRite serves commercial property owners and managers throughout Eastern Wisconsin. We can evaluate concrete settlement at individual gas stations or discuss repair needs across multiple locations.
Yes. You can upload photos and details about the settled concrete through our free virtual estimate process. Some gas station projects will also require an on-site evaluation to identify underground equipment and confirm the appropriate repair method.

TIME IS MONEY — WE UNDERSTAND
Gas stations depend on steady customer traffic. Closing an entrance, sidewalk, parking area, or fuel lane for concrete replacement can interrupt business and create inconvenience for customers.
RaiseRite understands the importance of keeping commercial properties accessible. Polyurethane concrete lifting can often be completed in targeted sections, reducing the need for extensive demolition and long curing periods.
Our team works with property owners and managers to plan repairs around site conditions, customer access, and safety requirements.
